The Journey to the City where the Trail Begins
As the group arrived in Singapore, they headed straight to Kong Meng San Por Kah See (KMSPKS) temple in Bright Hill in Bishan. It was so amazing to see such a huge and majestic building with extensive architectural design from the Chinese dynasties to the modern and practical themed concepts.
The Venerable Hong Choon, the one who developed KMSPKS had put in a lot of effort in developing the place and now, after his passing away, a memorial hall was built to appreciate his work done and also a tribute to his legacy.
Sunday morning – The journey, the trail begun, a trail through centuries of rich history, the Nalanda Trail at the Asian Civilization Museum along the scenic Singapore River. The journey took us through from the time when the Buddha was born till the dispensation of His
The most exquisite of all was the display of the authentic Buddha’s relics which was believed to be the ‘untouched’ by Emperor Ashka in India with inscriptions stating that it belongs to the Sakyan Clan.
Special thanks shall be extended to KMSPKS for the complimentary tickets and their hospitality and also to the volunteer guides at the trail.
Later that morning, the group headed to Buddhist Fellowship (BF) at Off Pasir Panjang Road. There, Ajahn Brahmavamso preached on kamma. He highlighted that a person shall be able to recognize the Buddha nature in another person and shall praise the Buddha nature found in them.
Later that evening, the group left Singapore with their hearts content and the youths were able to establish better and stronger ties with fellow Singaporeans and this would bring INCOVAR to greater horizons and the rest, was ah inspiring and heartiest contentment to be able to meet people and especially Ajahn Brahmavamso himself. Overall, everything went on fine as Singapore is a fine city. About the hotel, hahaha! Hotel 81, located at Geylang, the center of the nightlife of the city was aloud and live all day and night long.

A Unique Singapore Trip with BGF
On Saturday 26Jan, we visited BrightHill temple at Sin Ming Avenue or popularly known as KMSPKS. In the evening we headed down to Raffles Hotel for the Buddhist musical show 'Passage of Time' organised by the Buddhist Fellowship of Singapore, directed by Angie Monksfield - she's the bomb.
Then on Sunday 27Jan, everyone woke up early to head down to the Asian Civilization Museum on the mat-salleh side of the river, to catch the Nalanda Trail exhibition which was very educational for everyone. Right after that, all adjourned to the Buddhist Fellowship at Pasir Panjang for a Dhamma talk and Dana with non-other-than the inspiring Ajahn Brahm. Part of the talk which I can clearly remember is ajahn teaching us to 'acknowledge your goodness'...
It was a really good trip for everyone young and old alike. Everyone could appreciate every aspect of the trip planned and organised by BGF!

Wondrous x'mas in Singapore!
On Christmas day, I had this special chance to visit the 'Nalada Trail' exhibition held in the Asian Civilization Museum in Singapore! It was so wonderous for Cell from KMSPKS to introduce us the special Buddhist Guided Tour for this wordly historial & art exhibition. So much knowledge acquired in such a short visit, especially for me who didn't know how Mahayana Buddhism came about. I experienced a precious moment when the tour guide lead us to a room with a majestic display of the Buddha's relic, that took my breath away.
At the end of the exhibition, I wish that I could bring INCOVAR (or even anyone interested back home) to Singapore to visit not only the big famous Buddhist temples in this small island but also this not to be missed Nalanda Trail at the ACM! Even the museum itself is an architecture beauty that is worthy of a photography adventure.
Having said all that, I would like to thank Cell for bringing us around KMSPKS and even showing us his office place! I was so excited when the staff there showed us this 'Dharma for Urbanites' diary notebook. I'd wanted to get something like this, a Buddhist inspired 2008 diary as gifts for my INCOVAR committees, but none to be found. *hint hint to sukhihotu & 9bugz*
Now you tell me, if you'd like to have a Buddhistic spiritual journal for your hectic life? Imagine inside this journal you can find the dates for all the Buddhist events? And it looks trendy not typically old-fashion!

Countdown Merdeka with Fireworks!
To all my friends,
I'll be organising a trip to Putrajaya to watch the fireworks! The date is set for 30th Aug, 2007 on the eve of Merdeka Day which is a public holiday for all of us ;)
So here's the info from the ticketpro website, where you get the best view from venue PICC.
Price Category:
1st - With Dinner & Drinks - 148.50 RM
2nd - Without Dinner & Drinks - 38.50 RM
BUT THEN Again... wouldn't it be priceless to drive ourselves there, get ourselves a nice spot on one of the bridge near MOF, before the fireworks start firing at 10pm?
So what's your asnwer (click post comment below) :
Option A - buy the RM38.50 tickets, get front view from PICC
Option B - dont buy the tickets, find our own spot surrounding Putrajaya.
